History of our SoCalCIC ‘Social Club’ is short:
I didn't know there were any CIC Veterans organizations until about two years ago when surfing the web I found that the ACICV existed.  I joined and subsequently learned that Dick Snyder lived two blocks from my brother in Florida - so, next time I visited my brother I knocked on Dick's door. Dick told me that, at one time, there had been a Southern California group.  When Dick also told me about the NCICA, I joined ‘you guys’ also. While attending the ACICV 2005 reunion in San Antonio in I was given an ACICV e-mail roster which was dated 2004, and had the member’s states. Making an e-mail list of those in California, I sent emails to see if there was interest and to learn what happened to the old organization.

On 1 November 2005 we held our first luncheon and 12 attended.  We decided that keeping it a social organization with no dues, no officers, no minutes to approve nor treasurers reports we might survive.   We do everything by e-mail.
