NEW YORK COUNTER INTELLIGENCE CORPS ASSOCIATION (NYCICA)

HISTORY:

The New York CIC Association was founded in 1946 in the Yorktown Section of Manhattan.  It was one of the founding member clubs of the NCICA.  We are celebrating our sixtieth anniversary this year. Mike’s  note:  My first contact with NCICA was the summer of 1959 while I was stationed at 7th CIC in Korea.  I had applied for membership and they wrote me that I had to wait until I was discharged.  In 1961, I tried again and was accepted.  I remember attending the New York Convention (in '63 or '64, I think, at the Taft Hotel) and being told that the NY club was formed during the latter half of '46 in a German hall in Yorkville on 86th Street off Third Avenue.
